Subject: wretched
I've heard these guys live before, my friends and I usually get pretty pissed off that we have to pay cover for this bullshit. For example- superstition- pretty distinctive bass line, right? THEY DON'T EVEN PLAY THE BASS LINE!!!! (maybe they do on this show, but they didn't when I heard them summer 2005) How can you cover a song and bastardize/desecrate it to such a degree and call it music? The local high school girls are pretty much the only ones who dig on this shit. get this garbage off LMA

Subject: Interesting stuff
Sound Quality: 3.5-4 stars. Obviously an aud source, but the band is well heard. There is the din of the talking audience in the background that could have been reduced a little by doing a closer stack recording, but overall a great full sounding recording that is just slightly 'distant'.

Show Quality: 4 of 5 stars. These kids sound like a fun show. Lots of jazz / funk / rock sounding. I like the horns (sax?) electric guitar, all that is fun. They do originals and lots of fun covers. If they played near me i'd go support their live show for sure.

Last two reviews a bit harsh...ya'll must have sucky speakers because I was impressed..with the band and the recording. Sounds like an intimate setting and the band establishes a great rapport with the crowd. They have a rich texture to their sound, and the versatility of the bandmembers' talents is evident through the various instruments used in the show...sax, banjo are among the few that give this band it's unique sound. They alternate from a rock sound to funk to a bit bluesey.. The singer has an unpolished nice, raspy voice that screams raw talent. The Stir it up/gin and juice cover is clever and flows nicely. This band must be great at getting its audience to move.

Subject: i'm with pmm6 and then some
recording quality is terrible. reviewers in previous posts must be band members or something because there is no way you can objectively say that this is good. band doesn't even seem that great regardless of recording.

Subject: bands ok, the sound quality of recording is poor ...
at best. There is to much noise. they should had recorded of the soundboard. good luck to the band and the taper.

Subject: Great Sound
Great recording. This band's got something...to go from originals that you really don't know are originals to snoop dogg and bob marley then back to the clash and stevie wonder with their own renditions. great lyrics/sound on their own stuff... they might not be unknown originals for long....good find.

Subject: A Must Download
I loved the sound of this band. They're able to cover several genres of music, keeping it cohesive and interesting, while adding they're own flavor to make the cover tunes sound original. I thought the taping was done very well and the music is great! The singer has an awesome/unique voice. Definately will be waiting on more live stuff from this band..check them out.....steve simon
